Sam Williams grew up in Chesterfield and Powhatan, Virginia where he was baptized into the Baptist Church. When he was 16 years old, Sam began attending Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Richmond, Virginia where he became an Orthodox Christian in 2005. Sam graduated from James Madison University in 2009 after double majoring in International Affairs and Spanish with a dual focus on Latin America and the Middle East. After college, Sam worked in community development by serving with AmeriCorps VISTA in Philadelphia, PA. Sam received a Master of Divinity in 2013 from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, MA. Before joining Saint Nicholas in Virginia Beach, Sam was the Youth Director and Chantor at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Wyckoff, NJ. He loves genealogy, languages and good coffee.
